Business Overview

The Material Solution Business Division operates the glass fiber for industrial materials, chemical, and textiles businesses.
The glass fiber for industrial materials business utilizes the heat and fire resistance as well as the light weight properties of glass fiber to deliver a range of products, including film materials for large buildings and automobile vibration damping material.
The chemical business involves the development and sale of, for example, functional polymers and inorganic/organic nano-composite materials (SSG), which are deployed in a variety of applications to support our daily lives and lifestyles.
In addition, the Nittobo Group’s original business of textiles offers products including adhesive interlining and the “Nittobo Dishcloth™,” in addition to products that make use of our proprietary adhesive technologies.

Key Initiatives

Creating New Businesses Through Flexible Thinking and Collaboration

Through collaboration between the glass fiber for industrial materials business, the products of which have potential for a wide range of applications; the specialty chemicals business, which includes proprietary functional polymers; and the textiles and related business, which includes adhesive interlining and other products with proprietary technologies, the Materials Solution Business Division will share information and knowledge among respective businesses while actively endeavoring to bring new products to market and to create new businesses.
The division will moreover manage its organizational systems to generate synergies and nurture the human resources capable of making and promoting proposals unrestricted by the boundaries of the respective businesses. It will meanwhile also proceed with product proposals in fields with growth potential in existing business domains (environment, electric and electronic, functional products, etc.) with the aim of acquiring new commercial rights.
